Allied Electronics announced the promotion of strategic account manager, Mike Vogt, to the role of chief operating officer (COO).

Vogt, 43, has been with the company for more than 16 years and has served as a technical project manager for the last several years. Prior to that, Mike worked with the QA and technical support group, joining the company in 2000.

"I stepped into this role at such an exciting time at Allied," said Mike. We moved into an awesome new space with plenty of room for growth. I"™m fortunate enough to be surrounded by amazing and talented people who love what they do and have a positive attitude."

Ron Walker, Allied's president since 1992 will continue in that role, remaining an active presence in the company's daily operations.
